Today I'm taking a look at a site called Model Flats. Contrary to what conclusions you may have drawn from the name, this site isn't about women with small tits or chicks who wear shoes with no heels. (Ok, lame jokes I know but I'm probably not the first person to make them. I also had one about the band Rascal Flatts so be glad I didn't use that one as well). Anyhow, the "flats" in the title actually refers to the housing the Russian models here live in. And it's not just a gimmick, it says on the tour the site literally rent the flats for their models so they can be at the photographers' disposal for photoshoots and various events. Apparently the girls are all pursuing careers as fashion models and they live in the flats rent-free in exchange for posing for pics. The site continues the flats theme in the organization of the site (more on this later), which is kind of cute. A counter at the top proudly lists the number of photos and videos available here at 32,885 and 126 respectively. Quite a bit of content to see here, so let's get started.
Logging in to the members area, it may take you a little bit of time to figure out where to begin. Basically, they have the main page divided up into three frames that contain various listings of the content depending on what section you're in. You start off initially in the Updates Archive. Here they have everything organized by year and month. They have preview pics of the sets in one column, descriptions in another, and text links to past updates in a third. There's also a Flats sections that lists the various flats available on the site (the left-hand frame is a textual listing, the middle frame is the same listing with preview pics of the girls, and the rightmost frame gives a nice detailed explanation about what you'll find in each flat including some info about its actual location in Russia). It looks like multiple girls live in each flat, so each time you select a location you'll be able to view all of the babes housed there. It's sort of an odd way to organize the women to me, so thankfully they offer a couple of other ways to check out the content. They also a Model Index (typically my preferred method of surfing these sort of sites) where you can view preview pics of each model, listed alphabetically. One thing they do here that's kind of cool is give you a detailed write-up on each girl so you know a little more about her.
Anyway, checking out some of the 32,000+ pics available here, it looks like they offer their photos in two different sizes. The surprising thing, especially for a site like this, is that neither size is really that big. The hi-res versions are a pretty standard 600 x 800 while the low-res shots are a tiny 320 x 240. I'm used to seeing gargantuan pics from these specialty photography sites so I was a bit shocked. Actually, digging a little deeper it looks like the horizontal pics are very large at 1152 x 768, but unfortunately most of the sets contain only vertical pics (which is why it took me a while to find them). Anyhow, they do offer some useful options in the window each pic is displayed in (view set in a slideshow, jump to other series by that model or in that flat, and you can also download the entire set in a hi or lo quality zip file), but I'd still like to see the resolution here bumped up quite a bit. I had no problems at all with picture quality. Everything looked clear and well-lit, with a professional vibe to many of the photos. Just wish they were a little larger all across the board.
As expected, content here is mainly confined to solo softcore posing with an artistic photography flair. One thing I found to be a bit different here is that there's not a lot of stripping going on. The chicks usually start the photoshoot completely nude. Maybe they all just wander around naked in their flats, in which case I'm making a trip to Russia so I can rent out a bedroom there myself. Anyway, since the girls start off naked, some of the sets can get a little repetitive at times, although I will say that they try to mix things up with different shots and artistic devices like unusual angles, close-ups, and work with light and shadow. Also, since the babes are really living in the places where they're being shot, they have the shoots divided up into various parts of the flats (showering in the bathroom, preparing food in the kitchen, talking on the phone, cleaning the windows, etc.). Each flat in the side menu lists the available rooms so you can pick where you want to go. There are some girl-girl posing sets throughout the archive (no boy-girl content here of course) and I also saw a few masturbation sets, but mainly things are kept to artistic softcore nudes.
To view Model Flat's 126 videos, you can either click the word Movies next to the counter at the top of the page or surf over to the flat labeled Movie Theatre. Once there, you'll find thumbnail pics linking to all of the various videos. They offer the movies in a few different formats: WMV, Quicktime, and a high quality MPG. Now, here's the crappy thing...in order to view the high quality MPG you have to purchase an additional membership which, from what I can see, will run you $29.95/month. I didn't have access to the high quality vids but, from the specs they give (4000K bit rates, etc.) they must look great. The extra cost seems a bit pricey to say the least however. Anyway, checking out the videos I was able to view, the quality is pretty good. I'm not sure I was blown away (especially considering the quality of vids on other sites like this), but the movies I watched were clear and well-lit and definitely got the job done. As far as specs, the WMV files weigh in (usually) at around 320 x 240 at around 500Kbps. I say "usually" because one odd thing I found here is that some of the clips are cropped in a strange way so you're just viewing this sort of vertical strip in the middle of the screen...it's more of a 180 x 240 view which is just odd.
The movies here seem to be similar to the photos content-wise, but with a more hardcore edge. Just browsing through the archive, I found many more masturbation and girl-girl sets in addition to the softcore posing. Check girls out pleasuring themselves with both their fingers and a variety of toys in various locations throughout their flats. The girl-girl scenes feature hot babes getting it on in the shower, on the floor and on the couch, using toys on each other and, in one vid, fucking each other with bananas. They have the videos divided up into two rooms, Video Room and Hot'n'Spicy Room, and it's in the Hot'n'Spicy section that you'll find the wilder hardcore action.

Model Flats had its ups and downs for me. I thought the idea behind the site was pretty unique and the convention of organizing the girls into various living spaces was interesting to me. I'm not sure I like the frames navigation though and it seemed like I kept getting kicked in and out of the members area as I surfed around. There's gotta be a way to maintain the site's theming and still make navigation smooth. Content-wise, picture quality was great although I was surprised to find that the majority of the photos get no larger than 600 x 800. The videos look decent (although they're a bit weird size-wise), but I thought charging extra to see the high quality stuff was a bit of a rip-off. Overall, I'd say if you like this type of photography and young Russian models, Model Flats is worth a look. Just be aware of some of its hang-ups.
