Today I'm checking out JoyofSpex.com, a unique website catering to guys and gals with a fetish for chicks wearing glasses. You'll find 21 full videos and nearly 4,000 pics to take a look at here, all featuring bespectacled beauties in both softcore and hardcore content. There's also an enormous amount of bonus content to be had, most notably in the form of access to the sites in The Wild Rose Network. If four-eyed femme fatales make your dick see double (which is quite a feat with only that one little eye and all), you're in for a real treat here.
The members area at JoyofSpex.com is well-organized and easy to navigate. The main members page is divided into three columns. The one on the left lists the most recent additions to the site, while the righthand side connects you with the all of the sites you receive bonus access to from The Wild Rose Network (more on these later). The central column contains a listing of all of the models (there are 20 of them) available on Joy of Spex as well as all of the "Spexy Friends" (there are 28 of these). All of the girls come with a preview thumbnail and a short description; the Joy of Spex models usually have both pictures and videos, the Spexy Friends just have pics. When you click a girl that interests you, you'll be taken to their main page which lists all of their picture and video content (complete with a preview thumbnail and a description) as well as a good amount of personal info about them (including personal stats and some Q&A type stuff---besides the more typical "Likes", "Dislikes", and "Favorite Sexual Position", there's also some unique sections like "Talk About Your Glasses"). Checking out the pics, it looks like most of the Joy of Spex models have multiple photosets (typically around 2-5). All told, there are 72 photogalleries and 3,917 total pics to take a look at here. Size-wise, the pics give you two options. Initially, you get an average sized image of 540 x 720 but they have a link marked "huge" which then blows the photo up to an extra large 768 x 1024. The quality of the pics is good. They do a good job of making the photography look professional and artistic, but still keep a cool amateur vibe going on throughout each series. As far as videos go, all but three of the Joy of Spex models have some movie content in the members area. Each full vid is split up into multiple smaller clips (anywhere from 3 to 12). Therew are two pieces of bad news here. First, the videos are only in Quicktime format (which I hate); it'd definitely be cool to have a WMV or MPG video option in addition to the QT. Second, the videos stream in an html window giving you basically no re-size options and worse yet, no easy way to save them. On the plus side, the videos look good quality-wise. They're very clear and well-lit. I'm not sure how they'd stand up to resizing (since, as I mentioned, I can't enlarge them), but they look nice at their original dimensions. The content at Joy of Spex is a good mix of hardcore and softcore material. Most of the photosets are solo and softcore, featuring the babes stripping and posing for the camera. Of course you get lots of face closeups so you can get a good look at their eyewear. There are some masturbation shoots and I saw a girl-girl photoset, but typically the more hardcore action is reserved for the videos. In the movie clips you see girls pleasuring themselves to real orgasms, girl-girl action, blowjobs, and boy-girl fucking. Typically the boy-girl scenes end with a load of cum to the girls glasses, which I know is a big fetish for a lot of glasses fans. At least one of the chicks also licks off the jizz and swallows it. The models at JoyofSpex.com are very natural looking; I would say most of them fall into "sexy nerd" category and should really appeal to fans of girl-next-door type chicks. One cool feature in the vids is the personal interview style segments at the start of the shoot. Here the model talks about her glasses (how she feels about them, when she got them, etc.) and her sexuality (when she started, what she likes, fantasies, etc.). It's a pretty cool way to make you feel more "connected" to the girl before the actual action begins. The sole interactive feature feature at Joy of Spex is a message board (it's actually a guestbook, but they call it a message board). I'm not sure if the girls post anything here or not, but the webmaster of the site does and you're certainly free to leave your comments and requests. Although there isn't any direct interaction here (i.e. camshows, emails, etc.), there's definitely still a lot of personality to this site, as evidenced by the Q&A info provided with each girl and especially the commentary portions of each of the videos. In the Bonus department, there's a quite a bit to see here. First off there's the Spexy Friends section, which offers up 28 small galleries (around 20-30 pics) of other spectacled cuties. Most of these are compliments of other cool sites that I've already reviewed for QAP (Abby Winters, Girls Out West, and I Shot Myself, among others). In addition to this more specific Joy of Spex content, you also get access to all of the sites in The Wild Rose Network, brought to you by Carol Cox, a legendary internet amateur. This is simply a staggering amount of content that could keep you busy for months. There are 41 full amateur members areas here (including Carol Cox's), 14 niche members areas (teen, foot fetish, lesbian, big tits, peeing, smoking, and more), access to 3 different cam networks (HomeGrown Cams, Camz, and Sex Cam Central), and multiple video pages, picture pages, games, stories, jokes, and cartoons. Simply a gargantuan amount of content to check out. |

| Joy of Spex is a nice little site that should really appeal to guys (and girls) with a fetish for chicks in glasses. The photography here is well done and the pics are large and high quality. Although I wish the videos had been downloadable and offered a few more viewing options, the vid clips are good quality and I definitely enjoyed seeing the girls in action and talking candidly during the interview segments. If you factor in the relatively low monthly fee and large amount of bonus access, Joy of Spex is a great site for fans of bespectacled babes. |
