Galitsin-News.com is the official site of Gregori Galitsin, a famous Russian photographer renowned for capturing beautiful Russian girls in equally beautiful and intriquing indoor and outdoor locales. The site contains a huge archive of very high quality photos (76,553 as of this writing) as well as 139 videos for you to check out. One thing I should mention right off is that Galitsin News has two memberships, a standard and a premium one. The premium membership gives members access to high quality full-screen videos while standard members are only able to view the lower quality ones. I don't have access to the premium vids, so I won't be talking much about those. Anyhow, on with the review!
The Galitsin News members area is pretty much identical to the free side. That's cool since it allows you to familiarize yourself with the setup before you become a member. You'll find the latest updates to the members area on the main page and a menu across the top of the page takes care of your navigational needs. Here you'll be able to access an alphabetical model index complete with thumbnail pics, the site's video section, as well as the update archive divided by month and goig back to November 2003. There are also various other items scattered throughout the page such as a newsletter and a Top 30 list of models based on ratings by members.
There are a whopping 76,553 pics to be had here. Galitsin News also features an impressive update schedule, adding 3 new photosets every single day. The photo galleries are setup in the magazine cover look popularized by sites like MET Art and FTV. Clicking a cover takes you to the corresponding gallery. Each one has several viewing options. First off, all of the pics are available in what they call "half" and "full" sizes. The Half shots weigh in at 400 x 600, the Full pics are an extra large 800 x 1200. Each gallery also gives you the option of downloading the entire set (in half or full sizes) in a convenient zip file. Then there are several user-friendly details like the ability to choose how many thumbs are displayed per page, info and links concerning each girl involved in each photoshoot and even the ability to choose the backgroumd color (white to gray to black) on which the pics are displayed. The photo quality is superb, as I expected after reading the write-up on photog Galitsin before I entered the members area. Everything is clear, well-lit, and beautifully shot.
In the Films section, you'll find 139 videos to take a look at. Depending on your membership status (Premium or standard) you'll have access to a WMV file or a full-screen AVI. As I mentioned, QAP only received access to the non-Premium portion of the site, so I won't be able to review these full-screen Premium vids. Judging by the difference in file sizes, I imagine the difference in video quality is considerable, but that's about all I can say sight unseen. It's unfortunate that the full-screen videos are only available to Premium members because the standard WMV aren't in-line with the quality of the rest of the site. Specs-wise, recent vids weigh in at 320 x 240 at 225KBps with earlier clips at 208 x 160 at 218Kbps. The videos look just average at best and there's noticable pixelation in them even when viewed at just 200%. You can forget about full-screen on these, which makes sense since they denote the Premium videos as full-screen. Anyhow, I would definitely like to see the basic video quality improved here even if the Premium option stayed in place. Better yet, lose the whole Premium thing entirely.
As far as subject matter, the photography here features classy softcore shots of hot nude girls in a variety of locales. There are some girl-girl sets throughout but they feature mostly just posing with some light kissing and playing. Galitsin does an excellent job of varying the locations the girls are posing in. I don't think I saw the same setting twice and there are lots of beautiful outdoor (as well as indoor) locations to choose from. You definite shouldn't get bored here if you enjoy this style of photography. One thing I noticed is that there's not a lot of teasing/stripping shots in the galleries; the girls are pretty much naked throughout. Not that that's a bad thing, but I know some people enjoy the whole striptease series of shots. It looks like the videos contains more hardcore stuff: no actual boy-girl action that I could see but you will see lots of masturbation scenes (with toys), wilder girl-girl fun, shaving shoots, and peeing vids, among others. They don't really have any kind of sorting option for the videos so you'll just have to click through the archive to find what you want.

Galitson News offers up a nice, large archive of high quality pics for the softcore enthusiast. The chicks are hot, the setting's gorgeous, and the pics themselves look great. The main problem here is with the videos. I think it's pretty cheesy that they require to purchase a rather pricey premium membership especially when the standard membership vids are average quality at best. Other than that, fans of classy, high quality softcore photography will find some fresh faces and material to check out here at Galitsin-News.com
